Historic England has generously donated to the Cleveland Pools restoration over many years, including invaluable advice and expertise.

In 2007/8 they were a steering group member which also comprised the Cleveland Pool Trust, B&NES Council, the Princes Regeneration Trust and the Osborne Group.

Their grant funding has included:

2009 - £57,340 for project development work. This included a Costed Options Appraisal (2011) which formed the basis of the HLF application
2016 – £7,700 for further investigations during HLF’s Stage 1 works
2020 - £413,000 for repairs to the fabric of the historic buildings
2022 - £123,700 for fabric repair
